Tyler Millwood fourth in Herald & Review 100 at Macon Speedway with Hell Tour
Set for the third week on tour with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals, Tyler Millwood was one of 45 Super Late Model drivers at Springfield (Mo.) Raceway on Tuesday afternoon for the week three opener.
Grabbing the final A-Main transfer spot of his heat race, Millwood charged forward in the 30-lap, $5,000-to-win feature and landed inside the Top-10 in sixth.
Losing Wednesday night at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.) because of weather, Millwood focused on Thursday's Herald & Review 100. Starting 12th in the 100-lap show at Macon (Ill.) Speedway, Tyler kept his nose clean and scored a Top-5 finish in fourth. He trailed Trey Mills, Brandon Sheppard, and Ryan Unzicker while Kyle Bronson completed the Top-5.
Millwood was not able to find the same success over the weekend as he suffered a DNF at Farmer City (Ill.) Raceway on Friday before finishing 13th at Highland (Ill.) Speedway on Saturday and 15th in the closer at Clarksville (Tenn.) Speedway.
Millwood finished fifth in the week three point standings.
