Millwood shows speed in Roscoe Smith Classic at Senoia Raceway
Fresh off a win at the same racetrack, Tyler Millwood arrived at Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Ga.) on Thursday afternoon for the Roscoe Smith Classic with the Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series.
Among 47 Late Models at the facility, Tyler locked himself into the A-Main after putting down the third-fastest lap in qualifying. Running in the fifth-position for the majority of the 44-lap main event, Millwood was on his way to Top-5 outing before another competitor sent Tyler into the wall. With overheating issues as well, Millwood pulled in with just five laps to go. He was scored 24th.
Looking for redemption at East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.) on Friday evening, Millwood qualified seventh-quickest before a heavy thunderstorm rolled into the area. Officials were forced to postpone the event to August 18th.
